I am the Senior Community Manager for NBC News. My normal day to day is spent monitoring and engaging with the social community on various social networks. On a regular basis I work closely with many of our correspondents and anchors on the latest social media tools. I work within our NBC News Marketing team to coordinate social projects and events.
Photography is my passion and I use my knowledge to provide original content for our social media accounts. My philosophy about photos posted on Twitter and Facebook is that they should be high quality. Many in our industry are tied to Blackberry phones which are known for their poor quality photos and video. Many of the photos I post to our NBC News Instagram account are taken with an iPhone or a DSLR.
Before I came to NBC News, I ran my own production company working on remote production events like ESPN’s Winter X-Games, the New York City Marathon and Super Bowl 41. On top of working as freelance camera operator I also freelanced as a Chyron/Deko operator for ESPN and CNBC.
