My wife and I made it out to Jones Beach just before the island reached capacity. We had to park far from the center of the beach but the walk was worth it. We spent the afternoon on the beach on a sunny but slightly chilly afternoon looking to the sky to witness aerial stunts by the Geico Skytypers, the Breitling Jet Team and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. I finally got to experience Santacon in person. The great thing about this year was that many gathered in Times Square. Yes most of the crowd was there ready to drink but there were a select few that simply love Christmas and came to celebrate the holidays with the crowd.
I mainly captured the gathering in Times Square and exploring the streets afterwards.
